Important Property Tax Update: Child Care Centers in Leased Spaces Now Eligible for Partial Tax Exemption
A recent Franklin County Board of Revision decision, secured by Bluestone Law Group, confirms that qualifying child care centers operating in leased spaces may be eligible for Ohio’s partial real property tax exemption even when the property and the business are under separate ownership – potentially opening the door to significant tax savings for child care operators across Ohio.

IPT is a member-run organization providing educational programs, symposiums, and certifications for tax professionals. We were excited to present on defending against school district initiated tax appeals, including a quick update on House Bill 126.
